Summer LC Application Now Open!
for 13 & 14 year-olds
Summer Leadership Corps is designed for youth who are transitioning from being participants in YES programs to becoming leaders. We also welcome youth brand new to YES to experience the outdoors and develop their leadership potential! The four-week summer program will feature a variety of activities including: kayaking, rock-climbing, hiking, biking, college tours, volunteer service days, and more! As LCs youth will be able to build their confidence and develop as future leaders.
About
YES works with teens year-round through Leadership Corps (LC) programming and employment opportunities. This website's content has been compiled and curated by teens in our programs. You'll find their creative and thoughtful volunteer project content here along with many other opportunities for youth to lead.
This school-year, the Leadership Corps will equip students with tools to navigate what it means to be a leader in our communities during these unprecedented times. As LCs youth will take part in leadership development workshops, one-on-one support, college prep, and volunteer opportunities through youth-led project groups.

Programs
We continue to adjust our programming to meet public health guidelines. Summer LCs can expect a number of in-person opportunities with consideration for these guidelines.
Due to COVID-19 and the need to limit group sizes for certain activities–we will be offering programming on a drop-in/sign-up basis.
We are currently inhabiting and occupying land belonging to the Massachusett tribe, Mashpee Wampanoag, the Aquinnah Wampanoag, and Nipmuc tribes. We respect all members of these tribes. We recognize the centuries of hardships brought on by their forced removal from this territory, and we honor the diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land.
